अक्षय तृतीया सनातन संस्कृति का एक अत्यंत पवित्र एवं स्वयंसिद्ध अबूझ मुहूर्त है। बाबा बैद्यनाथ धाम में इस पावन तिथि को "चंदन उत्सव" के रूप में मनाया जाता है। ग्रीष्म ऋतु के प्रचंड ताप से महादेव को शीतलता प्रदान करने हेतु ज्योतिर्लिंग पर मलयगिरि चंदन, गुलाबजल और सुगंधित द्रव्यों का विलेपन किया जाता है।Akshaya Tritiya is one of Sanatana Dharma’s four supremely auspicious self-evident muhurats. At Baba Baidyanath Dham, this sacred festival is celebrated as the grand "Chandan Utsav". To soothe the intense heat of peak summer, the sacred Jyotirlinga is enveloped in pure cooling Malayagiri sandalwood paste, rose water, and camphor.

दान एवं सेवा परंपराSacred Charity & Service Traditions
1. जलपात्र (घड़ा) दान
गर्मी के मौसम में शीतल जल से भरा मिट्टी का नया घड़ा, पंखा और मौसमी फल ब्राह्मणों व निर्धनों को दान करना अत्यंत पुण्यकारी माना जाता है।
2. सत्तू व मिष्ठान्न भोग
इस दिन भगवान शिव को सत्तू, गुड़ और शीतल आम पन्ना का भोग लगाकर श्रद्धालुओं में प्रसाद बांटा जाता है।
3. नया संकल्प व बहीखाता पूजन
व्यापारी वर्ग बाबा बैद्यनाथ के सम्मुख अपने नए व्यापारिक बहीखाते और तिजोरी की चाबी रखकर आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं।
1. Earthen Pitcher (Jalakumbha) Charity
Gifting fresh earthen pots filled with cold water, hand fans, and summer fruits to priests and the needy earns immense spiritual merit.
2. Sattu & Refreshing Bhog
Lord Shiva is offered traditional Sattu, jaggery, and cool raw mango sherbet, later distributed as prasad.
3. New Ledger & Business Invocations
Merchants place their new financial account books and temple tokens before the sanctum to invoke everlasting Lakshmi.
